Hector on Stilts, band

Based in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, Hector on Stilts is a brilliant band consisting of principals Jeb and Clayton Colwell (cousins) and accompaniment.  When I first heard their name I was intrigued.  Then I heard their music.  I was blown away! They are skillful musicians with incredible harmonies and zany personalities both on-stage and off.  Jeb and Clayton are a rare breed.  Their playful spontaneity inspired me to experiment with camera movement, zoom, multiple exposures, and flash techniques.  During one shoot, after a brief break at the local java cafe, I asked them to hop up onto a storefront bank facade, where they struck a funny pose with an umbrella.  This image became the inside jacket of their new album,”Same Height Relation”.  Check out their sound!
