Megan Reisel, dancer, movement therapist
Megan was my very gifted and intuitive Gyrotonic instructor when I lived in the Berkshires. As I worked with her, I was impressed by her many skills in so many areas of movement: movement therapy, ballet, tango, Gyrotonic, and Aikido. I wanted to do a cover story that would capture her fluid movements while promoting her work as a movement therapist. The Artful Mind, a local Berkshires art magazine, would be the perfect venue. We headed out to an abandoned gravel pit near her home that we thought might be a good location for a photo shoot. There, she leaped with elation across the sand, and assumed a number of exciting poses on a huge boulder as her spirit soared. What a classical and statuesque figure she made. And such beauty in her face as she danced! The magazine cover followed, featuring Megan gracefully posed on the boulder accompanied by a long article on her therapy work and her many other talents.
